Commitment To God..

Above all, you must understand that no prophecy of Scripture came about by the prophet’s own interpretation of things. For prophecy never had its origin in the human will, but prophets, though human, spoke from God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1:20-21.* Dearly beloved, glory to God for another beautiful morning. Let's reflect and pray! The apostle Peter's statement in today's scripture means that the prophecies that were written by the prophets of Israel that appear in the Old Testament did not originate with them. In 2 Peter 1:20-21, the apostle Peter is emphatically denying that Old Testament prophecy originates from human initiative. Of course, this is the truth we must all know - prophecies do not originate from men; they come from God, and, men are used as instruments to receive these prophecies from God. Let's not be deceived, therefore, beloved. No matter how powerful spiritually a human being can be, if he does not receive from God, and he is truly a servant of God, then, he can not give any prophecy. Let's speak only that which God gives to us to speak *Prayer:* Father, thank You very much for Your Word to me this morning. Dear Lord, please, may I always speak only that which cometh from You alone. Have a blessed day!
